(MAITLAND, Mo.) Broken bricks are all that remain of a building in downtown Maitland.

Officials say they were called to the Maitland Opera House for a fire just after 7 a.m. Saturday.

Five are fire departments battled the fire for nearly four hours.

Authorities say they found a note in the owner of the building's car that led them to believe the fire was set intentionally.

The owner, Kenneth Rainwater could not be located but his vehicle was found across the street from the building.

Officials tell KQ2 that Rainwater could have been in the building during the fire but are continuing to follow up on leads on his whereabouts.
