Hundreds gathered at Wyatt Park Baptist Church today to determine the area's best soup.

The event, the "Empty Bowls Luncheon," was held by the Hunger Coalition to raise some money and have some fun too.

Those attending paid a $25 contribution to try soup from sixteen different restaurants in the area and vote to see whose is the best.

Luna's Fine Dining and Catering won.

The hunger coalition is thrilled having more than 400 people attend.

"It makes me feel really good because I think this year we really did meet our goal. We've had some lapses in the last few years because of the economy, but now we really will have the adequate funds to have a Sunday meal in the community, which is the whole purpose of the Hunger Coalition," says Joe Houts, of the Hunger Coalition.

The Hunger Coalition raised $20,000 at the event.
