(LINCOLN, Neb.) The families of two missing Nebraska teens are now offering a reward for information leading to their safe return.

A $1,000 reward is on the table as investigators continue to follow leads in the search for Racheal Bates, 16, and Samantha Zuerlein, 16.

Both girls have been in contact with their friends since they left home earlier this month, but they have not contacted their families.

On Tuesday, a spokeswoman from the Lincoln Police Department said the girls told friends they were in the St. Joseph area. Police have not been able to track them down and investigators do not know where they might be headed.

The Lincoln Police Department does not suspect anything criminal in the case at this time. They ask anyone with information to call the police department at (402) 441-6000.
