FBI Offers Reward in Bank Robbery Investigation

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) A reward is on the table as investigators seek information about three area bank robberies.

The most recent happened at Commerce Bank on Frederick in St. Joseph on May 30.

The FBI believes the same person is responsible for a bank robbery at the Commerce Bank in Overland Park, Kan. the same day, as well a bank robbery at the Bank of America in Overland Park on May 22.

The suspect in all three robberies was wearing a Kansas City Royals hat at the time. According to the FBI, he entered the bank with a blue folder, while talking on a cell phone. The suspect gave the teller a note demanding money.

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information in the case that helps them identify and convict the person or persons responsible for the robberies.
