The Wall Street Journal reports Fed-Ex is making changes to way it charges customers for shipping.
Instead of charging based on the weight of the package, the shipping giant will now charge by size - making it much more expensive to ship bulky but light weight items.
The change is expected to curtail current free shipping habits where customers are encouraged to buy multiple items and return what they don't want.
It's expected UPS will follow suit.
The two companies historically have matched price increases.
