Many area children aren't going hungry this summer.
This is thanks to the organization, "Food for Kids."
At lunch time, Monday through Friday, kids can visit Heaven Road Church of God and Christ, located at 1824 Angelique St., pick up a free sack lunch, and some other necessities if needed.
It's completely free and available to anyone 21 years and younger.
"Food for Kids" says right now in their fourth year, they're feeding around 150 kids a day.

"We cannot stand to see kids hungry," says Sheila Gilbert, founder of "Food for Kids." "We had an experience with some hungry children and we thought that as adults and Christians, we wanted to step up to the plate."

"Food for Kids" is a non-profit organization funded by several donors.
