Fugitive Arrested after Chase in Northwest Missouri

(MACON COUNTY, Mo.) A wanted fugitive is in custody after a run from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Jeremy Orona, 28, of Chula Mo., ran from troopers in and around Macon and Linn counties in a stolen vehicle Saturday night. After getting the vehicle stuck, Orona ran from troopers. Air patrol and road blocks were used to find him. Shots were allegedly fired with Orona injured in the chase.

He could face numerous charges in several counties. Orona was wanted in Livingston county for burglary, forgery and stealing a controlled substance. He is also accused of a string of vehicle thefts, weapons violation, forgeries, fraudulent use of credit devices and other crimes.
