(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Funding to rebuild levees at Rosecrans Airport in St. Joseph is at risk in the latest round of budget cuts made by Governor Jay Nixon Tuesday.

Nixon announced $786 million in budget reductions including $641 million in restricted spending.

Part of the that restricted money includes $2 million set aside for levee repairs at Rosecrans.

St. Joseph State Senator Rob Schaaf helped get the funding for Rosecrans into the $26 billion dollar operating budget for 2015.

Schaaf said he will continue to push for the funding.

"If we don't get the money this year, we'll fight for it again next year," he said.

The restricted funds can be released if the state's revenues improve before the budget takes effect July 1.
