The MPSC announced Grain Belt Express Clean Line LLC has filed an application for the proposed project.
The application indicates the company's plan to construct, own, operate and maintain high voltage lines within Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell and other Missouri counties. According to the application, around 206 miles of line will cross the northern part of the state from Kansas, across Illinois and into Indiana.
Applications to intervene and participate in the case must be filed by April 25 with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission. The address for those applications is, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102. The process can also be completed online by clicking this link.
