Grain Belt Express Files Application for Line in Missouri

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) A company wishing to run high voltage power lines across northwest Missouri has filed for a certificate for the project through the Missouri Public Service Commission.

The MPSC announced Grain Belt Express Clean Line LLC has filed an application for the proposed project.

The application indicates the company's plan to construct, own, operate and maintain high voltage lines within Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell and other Missouri counties. According to the application, around 206 miles of line will cross the northern part of the state from Kansas, across Illinois and into Indiana.
