Most of the area remains under a winter weather advisory through 6 p.m. Sunday with highs in the single digits and wind chills between -10 and -15. North winds should blow consistently around 15 miles per hour with gusts just over 20 miles per hour expected.
A 30 percent chance still exists for snow through Sunday, but no additional accumulation is expected for the KQ2 viewing area. Areas not far to the south, including Kansas City, could see an additional 1-3 inches of snow Sunday.
Those extremely cold conditions will only get worse Sunday night, with wind chills dipping into the -15 to -20 range and air temperatures flirting with -10.
Sunday morning, the MoDOT Traveler Information Map showed most roads in the northwest Missouri area as partly covered, with a few still completely covered.
