(OVERLAND PARK, Ks.) The 73-year-old man accused of shooting and killing three people at a Kansas Jewish Community Center appeared in court Thursday.

Frazier Glenn Cross arrived at the Johnson County Courthouse in a wheelchair for a brief hearing.

His attorney told the judge he needed more time to prepare.

Cross is charged with capital murder and first degree premeditated murder.

The self-proclaimed white supremacist is accused of killing 69-year-old William Lewis Corporon and his 14-year-old grandson, Reat Underwood, as well as 53-year-old Terri Lamano at a nearby Jewish retirement complex earlier this month.
