(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Strong Tower Baptist Church stepped out of its traditional Easter Sunday Service, and headed to Krug Park.

"There's nothing like being in the middle of God's creation, while we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ," said Tom Wilson, Pastor of the church.

Members of the church wanted to do something a little different this Easter.

"When church happens at Krug, Krug park is transformed into a living sanctuary where His people can praise His name. And, Krug Park is just the perfect place to do that," Wilson said.

This was the church's first year holding Easter service outside of the sanctuary.

Pastor Wilson said it is something they plan to continue years to come.
