There were many things drawing people to St. Joseph this weekend.
The biggest event was the Sound of Speed Airshow. There is no official headcount, but event organizers predict the event drew in 30,000 people between the two days.
"They're going to make a lot of noise and they're going to do things that absolutely thrill the crowd," Airshow Coordinator Byron Newell said.
And one performer said he loves putting on a show.
"We have a gorgeous blue sky to work with. It's just a gorgeous pallet we can paint smoke on and tell a story," Jeff Shetterly.
Sound of Speed was not the only thing bringing people in to St. Joseph.
There was an ASA National Co-ed Slowpitch Softball Tournament at Heritage Park.
The tournament did not bring out thousands like the air show, but the tournament organizer predicts there were about 300 people between players and spectators.
The winning team, The Ball Breakers, came to St. Joseph all the way from Connecticut.
