Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney Dwight Scroggins has issued new charges against Charles Leroy Coats Jr.  who is accused of the 2015 death of Jason Ginn.

Online court documents show that Scroggins has now charged Coats with first degree murder and armed criminal action.

Coats was charged last fall with second degree murder after Coats allegedly shot Ginn outside of his home on South 15th after an argument.

Coats does not have a court date set at this time.
