With voters heading to the polls next Tuesday, the Buchanan County Clerk is reminding some St. Joseph residents their polling location might have changed.
Voters will no longer be able to vote at the Missouri National Guard Armory on Woodbine. The Clerk's office decided to make the permanent change due to remodeling issues at the Armory that will go through the end of the year.
Around 4,000 voters have been moved to different locations including Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
"This is going to be the first election with these changes, so I think a lot of people are still going to show up at the Armory because they are just use to that," County Clerk Mary Baack-Garvey said. "It's good to get the word out eight days before the election."
The Clerk's office did send out letters to voters about the change.
If you are still uncertain, Baack-Gravey said to call her office to see about your new polling location. The number for the office is 816-271-1535.
