Price Chopper embraced the holiday spirit with their Grocery Grab on Saturday morning.

The grocery store collaborated with the Savannah High School Choir to sell tickets for the grocery grab event. The choir sold the tickets for $5 and kept the proceeds for their program.

Five finalists were chosen earlier in the week to meet at Price Chopper on Saturday morning to find out who the lucky winner would be.

Tristan Callaway was chosen, and said she saw this opportunity as a blessing after becoming sick and being forced to quit her job a couple months ago.

"I was super excited, I didn't think I could make it through the entire thing so thanks to Brandon he helped me out," Tristan Callaway, winner said, referring to the man who ran the grocery store for her.

"After she told me her story and then she was actually picked, I knew that it was definitely a blessing for her." said Brandon Guardado, another finalist.

"I was more than happy to help and just do whatever she needed to do to get all the groceries," Guardado said

Callaway and her family walked away with over $1,000 worth of food after Guardado completed the challenge for them.

And no worries--she did give some of the food to Brandon to thank him for his help.
