Magazine Gives St. Joseph Top Ranking for Economic Growth

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The City of St. Joseph has been ranked as one of the top cities for economic growth.

Area Development Site and Facility Planning magazine put St. Joseph in the top 100 for leading cities for 2014.

The magazine ranked St. Joseph 76th among Leading Locations.

St. Joseph also ranked 18th in Top 30 Small Cities in the United States and 19th in Top 20 Midwest Cities.

The rankings are based on economic and job growth comparisons of 379 cities.

St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce President and Ceo Patt Lilly is pleased with the rankings.

"The fact that St. Joseph continues to rank among the country's top cities demonstrates how strong our  economy is," said Lilly. "Area Development analyzes 21 indicators based on statistical performance. We're confident that these rankings paint an accurate
picture of the St. Joseph economic landscape."
