Man Seriously Injured in Overnight Crash

(KINGSTON, Mo.) A one vehicle accident seriously injured a Kingston, Missouri man late Wednesday night.

The accident happened at 11:00 p.m. about a half mile south of Kingston in Caldwell County when Jeffrey Richards, 27, struck a bridge and lost control of his 1989 Pontiac station wagon.

The impact caused the vehicle to overturn multiple times before it came to a rest in a cornfield.

Richards was transported by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center where he is being treated for serious injuries.

Troopers are still investigating the accident and it is still unknown if Richards was wearing a safety belt.
