The Marine Corps League in St. Joseph is making a call for men and women to join the ranks to help with their community service.
The organization said their numbers are dwindling.
The group said they had 60 members but not all are able to help out as much as they would like to.
Jerry Murphy, the commandant for the Marine Corps League, said the group performs ceremonies at military funerals no matter what branch they served.
Money is also raised to help programs like Wounded Warriors and the National Military Heritage Museum.
"We want to let the marines and the navy corpsmen know that we are here," said Murphy. "There is no such thing an ex-marine or a former marine."
The group meets every second Tuesday at the American Legion Post on Frederick Boulevard.
