(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) An unseasonable start to the week arrived Monday morning with a dusting of snow across the area.

The snow began falling overnight, leaving windshields and roads covered with a wet mix. The snow let up shortly after 7 a.m.

The cold front also helped temperatures drop below freezing. A freeze warning is in effect through Tuesday morning.

A slight warm-up is expected with a high of 41 degrees in the forecast for Monday, with temperatures climbing back in to the mid-60s by Wednesday.
