(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Four men face misdemeanor charges for trashing the former Plaza 8 Theater in St. Joseph.

Joshua Hall, 35, who co-managed the facility, is charged with a class B misdemeanor of property damage. Another co-manager, Buck Wayne Wilson, 23, faces the same charge along with Michael Wilson, 22, and Edward Raymond Hudson, 23.

According to court documents, all four took an active roll in damaging the interior of the Plaza 8 building located at 2219 N. Belt Highway on March 3.

The lobby, bathrooms, hallways and concession areas were filled with trash, broken glass and other debris when police began their investigation.

The Buchanan County prosecutor's office said the damage estimate is unknown at this time. The owner, Richard Durwood, did spend $1,500 to clean up the facility enough to make it safe to enter.

Plaza 8 Theater closed in early March after several decades in business. The space is being considered as the future site for a Price Chopper grocery store.
