(JEFFERSON CITY) Voters in Missouri may one day have to show their driver's license to vote.

House lawmakers have approved a proposed voter ID law.

It would require voters to show a photo ID before casting a ballot.

Republicans say the goal is to crack down on voter fraud.

Democrats are against it, claiming it would keep people who are unable to get a photo ID from voting.

The Missouri Supreme Court ruled a previous photo ID law as unconstitutional.

The senate will now take up the bill.
