(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Thursday morning brought the end to another year of Chiefs Training Camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.

Brett Esely, Associate Director of Athletics for MWSU, says the the final year of the 5-year deal with the Chiefs brought a steady flow of fans to campus.

He said year one still tops attendance numbers, but this year appears to be the second best attended.

Esely is hopeful the Chiefs will return to St. Joseph for camp next year and feels the university and the city have done everything possible to keep the team here.

"It's been a great team effort on behalf of many. And, you know, at the end of the day, we hope the Chiefs come back next year and we hope they're back here forever because this is the summer home of the Chiefs and we hope it stays that way," said Esely.

Esely said the Chiefs have until December 1 to make a final decision on training camp.
