(ST. JOSEPH, Mo)  Members from Museum Hill Neighborhood Association offered a unique way to celebrate Mother's Day.

Families gathered at the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion for 'Mother's Day at the Mansion.'

Museum Hill members dressed in hand-made, turn of the century costumes, and hosted a buffet.

Families listened to live music while they ate, and afterward, took a carriage ride around the area.

This was the associations first year for the event, and members said it will not be their last.

"We want to do it again, and again for the moms. Not just this year, but the next year, and the year after. We want it to become a regular event that people look forward to all year long, and bring their mothers out to, to have a very special day when the mom's get spoiled," said Isobel McGowen, Owner of Shakespeare Chateau.

All proceeds from the event went to the Museum Hill Neighborhood Association.
