Its director for the past eight years announced she was retiring effective in April.
Jackie Lewin has steered the St. Joseph Museums through some rough financial times in recent years. She also led the way through the museums' successful accreditation last year, an achievement attained by only six percent of all museums nationwide.
In the meantime, the museums' board of trustees will begin looking for a replacement.
Also during the annual meeting, it was announced that memberships to the museums grew nine percent in 2013 and admissions to the museums was up three percent.
