(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The 90th annual Apple Blossom Parade rolled through St. Joseph streets on Saturday morning.

Thousands of people gathered to collect candy and watch the nearly 100 floats drive down parts of Frederick Blvd.

For those in the audience, Saturday's parade was a chance to enjoy the nice weather.

"My kids have never been to a parade so I thought I'd bring them out," said Elsa Morris. "I'd actually been to the Apple Blossom Parade a long time ago; my dad used to bring us up here and it was a nice day out so I thought I'd bring them."

For those participating in the parade it was a chance to show off their talents.

"The Apple Blossom gives us the opportunity to show 20 to 25,000 people, the awesome young people of our community and of the mid-town area," said Kimberly Warren from Word of Life Church, who coached praise dancers.

KQ2 will re-broadcast the parade at 10:35 on Saturday night.
