Chief Operating Officer Rick Hartigan said despite bad winter weather, Carden Park and Oak Grove schools are both on schedule.
In addition, Hartigan says construction is under the $42 million levy approved by voters.
"The expectation was that we would air condition ten of our existing buildings, build two new schools and pay for the city required infrastructure for those schools," Hartigan said. "All of the bills have been paid. When it's all said and done it looks like we can have anywhere from $5-6 million remaining.
Hartigan says one fact that has slowed down progress is the lack of local laborers.
Because of some of the specializations, Hartigan says some of the same sub-contractors have had to be used in the construction of both schools. Because they can't work at both schools at the same time, work is slowed.
