Northwest Names Gipson Head Coach for Women's Basketball Program

(MARYVILLE, Mo.) The women's basketball program at Northwest Missouri State University has a new leader.

Northwest announced Monday that Randy Gipson will take over for Gene Steinmeyer as the Bearcats next head coach.

Gipson comes from Northeastern State in Oklahoma.

He is a 10-time conference or region coach of the year.

Gipson becomes the sixth head coach in the history of Bearcat women's basketball.

He will be introduced during a press conference on Thursday, April 5.
