The company renovated the former Arborview building on 36th Street in St. Joseph. The facility offers therapy, hospice care, bariatric services and other care needs.
Leaders say they opened a second location because of high demand in the area.
"That was always a challenge for us over at Savannah is that there was just a population of people that wanted services in the St. Joseph region. They wanted the quality care that we were providing but they just wanted to be a bit closer to home," stated Laverna Village Director of Operations Denise Curran.
The St. Joseph location has about 85 patients currently, but can house up to 120. The renovation project took six months to complete.
