Among the plaques is a recognition showing his support of Mother's Against Drunk Driving. Next to that is a thank you for his 13 years of service as Buchanan County prosecutor.
Insco says it's part of his make-up.
"It's about serving the public and I'm asking for (the voters) nod to do that," he said.
Insco is in the race for Associate Circuit Judge. Though it's been a while since he's has run for office, Insco says it's time to step back into the limelight, this time as a judge.
"After serving three terms as prosecuting attorney and showing the long line of public service I've done, they'll be satisfied my past predicts my future and i can be fair. Most importantly, I'll be able to do those things most necessary to serve them."
Insco is proud to start the first victim/witness organization in Missouri. He says it's important to remember their rights and keep the judicial process as smooth as possible for them.
"I believe that victims and witnesses deserve fairness as well," he said. "I promise if I'm elected, I will not forget victims and witnesses."
Insco says on the campaign trail, people are telling him his life experience will be important as a judge. He tells them he will work to be fair.
"They're telling me they want someone no matter what their prestige or how much money they have, they want them to be judged fairly," Insco said. "I think that is what a judge should do."
A longtime friend of Insco, Franie Jarrett, watched Insco's work in volunteering for the Boy Scouts. Jarrett says Insco dealt with problems fairly.
"The way he deals with things fairly always stood out to me and continues to stand out to me," Jarrett said. "I believe he will bring those same qualities to the judgeship."
Insco is running in the democratic primary against John Boeh, Chad Gaddie and Gary Myers.
The winner will face St. Joseph City Prosecutor Rebecca Spencer, who is running unopposed on the republican ticket.
