(FAUCETT, Mo.) It's not every day an NFL player and a Missouri Western football player come to visit your school at breakfast.

Green Bay Packers running back Michael Hill sits down with Mid-Buchanan students as part of the NFL's Fuel up to Play 60 Program.

"Fuel up means eat healthy.  Play 60 means be active for 60 minutes each day," said fourth grader Madison Meyer, who is her school's student ambassador for the program.

And it's good timing that she's having a special breakfast with special guests: it's National School Breakfast Week, where schools highlight what good stuff they're serving for the "most important meal of the day."

While everyone else goes through the line, Madison hands them a souvenir.

"I feel great doing that," she said.  "I really like to be active and stuff so this makes sure that I am staying active, and I like it a lot."

Her principal, Reesa Smiddy, thinks very highly of ten-year-old ambassador.

"Madison Meyer actually took this upon herself to become more involved in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program because she believes in it," Smiddy said.  "And she believes in children having the healthy lifestyle."

To become an ambassador, Meyer went to the Fuel Up to Play 60 website, and scored points by logging all of her exercise and activities.

"You have to do lots of activities and log in on a tracker," she said.  "They have a lot of activities on the website.  I dance on a regular schedule so I log that in.  Every time you go skiing or have PE class you can log that in too."

Since the beginning of the school year, she logged more than 70,000 points.

"She's a very bright student, whatever she does she does to her best," Mrs. Smiddy said.  "I'm very very proud of Madison."

And her efforts are being video taped - she'll submit that video as an application to be a national ambassador.

Meyer could become a role model for more than just the kids at her school.

Madison Meyer will submit her video to become a national ambassador later this month.

Fuel Up to Play 60 will select only five national ambassadors from all the applicants.
