(ST. JOSEPH) The St. Joseph Christian School community is mourning the loss of one of their own.

The school held a prayer service Monday for 2011 graduate Erin Hook, who died over the weekend in a car crash.

The 20-year-old was the daughter of Buchanan County Commissioner Ron Hook.

Erin Hook died on Highway 13 just outside of Clinton Saturday.

Faculty at the school who planned the service said they loved Hook and thought it was appropriate to come together during a difficult time.

"She was vivacious," said Lydia Zuidema, school superintendent. "She was friendly. She was caring. She was wonderful. I think she represents the best in us all."

The cause of the crash has not been determined.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at King Hill Christian Church.

Services will be at the church on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
