Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle Ends with Crash in Maryville

(NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo.) A pursuit that started in Nebraska Monday morning has ended in Maryville.

According to Sheriff Darren White, a man suspected of stealing a vehicle from the University of Nebraska, crashed in Maryville following the pursuit.

KETV, the ABC affiliate in Omaha, reports Lincoln police started following the suspect in Nebraska after spotting the vehicle. White said troopers pursued the man in Iowa and authorities in Missouri joined the pursuit after the car crossed state lines.

State troopers set up spike strips to try to stop the suspect, but he continued until finally crashing in Maryville near Main Street.

White said the man was arrested, but his name has name has not been released yet.

No one was hurt during the pursuit.
