Second Harvest Community Food Bank kicked off Restaurant Week Monday by partnering with locally-owned restaurants for the fundraiser.
The event helps spotlight the culinary community and raise hunger awareness.
Eleven eateries have developed specialty menus for lunch and dinner this week.
Ten percent of the proceeds will go to Second Harvest to help serve counties in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.
"We know that there are about 52,000 individuals in need. So, the money that comes through this St. Joe restaurant week will aid in our ability to do that," said Rachel Graves, Second Harvest Community Food Bank.
Restaurant week runs through Friday, featuring lunch for $10 and dinner for $20.
