(CHULA, Mo.) The Livingston County Sheriff's office hopes the public can help them track down a stolen vehicle and possibly a wanted fugitive.

Investigators are looking for a brownish, 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was stolen from a rural area in Chula. The Jeep has Missouri Plates: 5UM-675, but Sheriff Steve Cox says the plates might have been altered.

The sheriff's office received a tip about a possible citing of the Jeep in Jamesport Thursday morning. They are trying to determine whether Jeremy L. Orona, 25, has anything to do with the stolen vehicle.

Orona is wanted on warrants in Livingston County for burglary, stealing controlled substances and forgery.

Sheriff Steve Cox said anyone with information should call 911, the dispatch center at 660-646-2121, or the nearest law enforcement agency.
