Sheriff Warns of Possible Text Scam in Livingston County

(LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo.) A suspected phone scam is circulating Livingston County.

The Sheriff's Department said some cell phone users have received a text message from The message urges users to call 417-799-3718 to verify a card. The last four digits of the Social Security number are requested as well.

Livingston County's sheriff says anyone receiving similar texts should consider blocking the number or simply not responding.
