(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A St. Joseph school dedicated a section of its garden Tuesday to some very special students.

For the past five years, Helen Davis School has partnered with the local Kiwanis Club to build an outdoor space and garden for students.
The Kiwanis Club recently built a bird bath in memory of two students from the school who passed away.
Kim Wheeler's daughter was one of those students. She says she's glad the school is keeping her daughter's memory alive through the garden.

"If you knew her, she loved school and only wanted to be at school 24/7 so I'm sure she's up there beaming. It just really warms my heart that the school thinks enough of these kids to do something like this," added Wheeler.

Patsey McGuire from the Kiwanis Club added, "It's a wonderful thing to be able to be involved with them and to honor them."

The school works with students with disabilities until they turn 21.
