Schools around the area took part in a statewide tornado drill Thursday.
The drill was held to show students what to do in a real severe weather threat.
For students at Hall Elementary, that meant going to the school's basement.
School leaders said it's important to practice so everyone knows what to do when the weather turns dangerous.
"We're always looking to make sure that we keep students away from windows, away from doors and anything that may be moveable and could be flying in the event of an actual tornado," said Hall Elementary Principal Heather Gladhart. "As long as we are watching the weather and we have plenty of warning we will be able to get our kids down here safely."
The school takes part in the statewide tornado drill every March.
