(NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo.) Deputies in Nodaway County made a surprising discovery in a wooded area in southern Iowa on Tuesday - more than $12,000 in cash.

The money was connected to a bank robbery last week in Burlington Junction.

Joseph O'Neill, 26, Mount Pleasant, Iowa; Travis Davis, 27, Fort Dodge, Iowa; and Donald Kestner, 26, Mount Pleasant, Iowa have been charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action in the case.

Captain David Glidden said his department received information that led them to the money.

Glidden said the case is an ongoing investigation. It is unclear when the next court appearance is.
