UPDATE: Medical Condition May Have Led to Crash that Killed Driver

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A medical condition may have led to a crash that left a St. Joseph man dead Thursday morning.

Police say 72-year-old Harold Wilson was behind the wheel of a minivan when the vehicle crashed into the back of a home on the 500 block of E. Colorado Street.

The accident happened just before 9:00 a.m.

Police said Wilson was taking his granddaughter to band practice at Benton High School when he suffered a medical condition.

The minivan drove through his neighbor's trees and ended up crashing into the back of house.

Police said Wilson suffered no injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The 13-year-old girl suffered minor injuries.

No one was inside the house at the time of the accident.
