(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Vietnam Vets, Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club hosted a poker run to raise money for veterans in the area on Saturday.

The group started out at Last Call Bar and Grill and they traveled around town playing poker.

To help raise the money, the organization also hosted a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

"Every family has a veteran somewhere within three or four generations of their family and everybody was willing to give," said Ted Turner, a member of the organization. "It was just awesome. The reaction I got from people was like no problem here you go."

For those that stayed with the group for each stop along the way, they traveled a total of 50 miles around town.

All proceeds from the event go to veterans that need the help.
