More than 60 skaters, part of the St. Joseph Figure Skating Club, will take on the popular roles of Willy Wonka, Charlie, Oompa-Loompas and more.
This year's production features a skater who competed with the U.S. Figure Skating team, Alex Johnson.
'Willy Wonka on Ice' was described as a musical theater, and a way to draw people to figure skating.
"A lot of people don't really think about it. They think of dance, softball, or something like that. And, I think it really gets ice skating out there," said Claire Palmer, who is acting as Willy Wonka.
"It shows the talent that we actually have down here, that a lot of people don't even realize that we have an ice rink. To see these kids down here, and they're going out and doing double jumps, and they're performing to where you want to sit and watch them. It just shows people that we have some talent in here," said Debbie Cole, Director of 'Willy Wonka on Ice.'
Opening night for the show is Friday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at Bode Ice Arena.
Saturday, May 10, there is an early show at 2 p.m. and, one later at 7 p.m.
