Northwest Stays Perfect with Win at Northeastern State

The Bearcats improve to 5-0 with a 40-12 victory on the road.
(TALEQUAH, Okla.) No. 3 Northwest for the second time Saturday and didn't skip a beat in a 40-12 victory at Northeastern State.

After kickoff was pushed back almost an hour due to lightning, the Bearcats (5-0, 4-0) put together a 538-yard afternoon.

Trevor Adams completed 11 of 16 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns in the start. Backup Brady Bolles, who got all the snaps after Northwest established a 40-6 halftime lead, was 10 for 12 for 134 yards and a score. He also rushed nine times for 25 yards.

The Bearcats shared the ball throughout the afternoon as 10 players carried the ball at least once while 12 receivers hauled in a catch. Reuben Thomas was the game's leading receiver with five catches for 74 yards.
