Basil Kay Carr, 75, St. Joseph, Missouri died Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was born May 2, 1938 to Leo and Helen Carr.
Basil served in the U.S. Marines for 13 years, as a Chief Cook. He worked at D&G, Moila, and Corby Place Senior Living.
Basil’s last days were spent doing what he loved, cooking. He enjoyed each and every day with residents and staff at Corky Place Senior Living.
He is preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
Survivors include daughters, Beth (Butch) Stewart, Mary Carr (Greg James); son, Doug Carr; siblings, Dolores, Doug, and Jerry; and grandchildren, Josh, Jasmine, Jerad, Charlie, and Courtney,; fourteen great-grandchildren; and friend, Jeff Sollars, his Best Pal.’
Services: 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers are appreciated and for those wishing to make a contribution, the family requests they be made to Corby Senior Living.
