Bonnie Sue Turner, 76, St. Joseph, Missouri died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 22, 1937 to Ernest and Veneta (Watts) Hoover on the farm outside of Auxvasse, Missouri.
She married Elbert F. Turner, Jr. on June 18, 1955. He survives of the home.
Bonnie worked outside the home up until she had children and then spent her life raising a family.
She was a member and deacon at Wyatt Park Christian Church and a member of Christian Women’s Fellowship. She also volunteered at Heartland for several years.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Leslie Ellen Heckman.
Additional Survivors: daughter, Tracy Turner-O’Shannon (Joshua), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Jennifer Raschko (Charles), Spokane, Washington, Breanne Heckman and Rachel Heckman, Neosho, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Meredith, and Ella Clark, Leslie Browning, Jacob Barton, Skylar Shrimplin, Jaelyn Heckman and Lundynn Heckman; sisters, Edith Loyd, Branson, Missouri, Retha Wilson, Mexico, Missouri and Shirley Humphreys, Auxvasse, Missouri; and a brother, Allan Hoover, Auxvasse, Missouri.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Monday, Wyatt Park Christian Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
