In the beginning, God created Cozetta Marie Foster born August 22nd 1948 in Leavenworth, KS to the union of Bishop Howard Lee and Juanita B. Stone. From this union she was one of 9 children. On August 4th 2013, Lady Foster was called home to Glory to be with Jesus.

In the beginning, God created Cozetta Marie Foster born August 22nd 1948 in Leavenworth, KS to the union of Bishop Howard Lee and Juanita B. Stone. From this union she was one of 9 children. On August 4th 2013, Lady Foster was called home to Glory to be with Jesus.

At an early age she was baptized in Jesus name at the Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic Faith. Although she was raised in Atchison KS, she spent 47 years of her life in St. Joseph, MO married to District Elder James P. Foster, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Robyn Alford, and a brother Howard Stone Jr.

Surviving are husband James, daughters Toni (L.B) Galbearth, Kimberly (Robert) Warren, Angela (Bryan) Alford, Cynthia (Marty) McCallon, and her sons James (Roberta) Foster III, Caleb (Micah) Foster, and David Foster. She also had 13 beloved grandchildren.

She received her B.S.E. from MWSU and had nearly completed her Masters from MWMSU. Mrs. Foster worked as a St. Joseph school teacher at Noyes school, owned the Happy Hearts Daycare, wrote over 14 children’s books and twenty-two gospel songs. Many who heard her sing said she had the voice of an angel.

She was a licensed minister with Aenon/Victorious Life Bible Institute, and served her community in many capacities; Secretaries for Ministerial Alliance and NWDC General Body, MidCity Excellence board, member of Kappa Delta Phi Honor Society, Minister’s Wives of St. Joseph, Black Archives Museum Hall of Fame Member, and nominated for Teacher of the Year.

Services: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Word Of Life Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Following the visitation the family will hold an informal service at Greater Jesus Tabernacle at 8:30 P.M. The family requests memorial donations to be made to the Cozetta Foster Memorial Fund at First Bank of Missouri, 401 N Woodbine Rd, St. Joseph, MO 64506.
