Barb Palmer, 67, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Barb was born on November 4, 1946 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to Robert and Blanche (Philippi) Bestick. She was raised in St. Joseph, where she worked at Quaker Oats for over 30 years.
She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandsons. She was very artistic and created beautiful stained glass lamps. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her pets and an avid animal lover. She was very loving to all.
Barb was preceded in death by her father, Bob Bestick.
Additional surviving family includes sons, Tommy Gentry and Chris Gentry, daughter, Tracy (Keith) Brazeale, two grandchildren, Chavis and Noah, mother, Blanche Bestick, two sisters, Patsy Simerly and Randi Pickerel, companion, Tom Palmer and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life with Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
