Beulah (Gilbert) Wells, 96, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at a local health care center.
Beulah was born August 10, 1917 in Cawood, Missouri, to Walter and Jean (Walker) Gilbert. She married Polk Wells on July 24, 1934 in Troy, Kansas, he preceded her in death in 1981.
Beulah was a farm wife and homemaker and a member of Rea Union Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and going fishing.
Beulah was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Wells; daughters, Shirley Jean Brewer, Sandra Kay Brown; grandchildren, Kyle Wells, Brenda Wells Schubert, Jerrie Diane Brewer and Kay Brewer Karkantis; sisters, Chlorine Dudley, Frances Spencer; and daughter-in-law, Rose Wells.
Survivors include grandchildren, Kevin Wells and wife, Janet, Kerri (Wells) Pettijohn and husband, Anthony, Stacie (Wells) Root and husband, Jim, all of St. Joseph, Missouri; Dolly (Brewer) Denholm and husband, Jay of Akron, Ohio, Ginger Brewer, Scott Brown and Craig Brown all of Rosendale, Missouri; son-in-law, Roy Brewer; seven great-grandchildren; Brandon and Jason Ulmer; three great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and inurnment 11 am, Tuesday at Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, Missouri. Mrs. Wells has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, Savannah, Missouri.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Rea Union Church.
