Carl “Bert” Rose, 87, St. Joseph, Missouri died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, Missouri.
He was born June 5, 1927 to Guy and Ada (Marshall) Rose in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
He married Anna Alexander on December 21, 1946. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2007. He then married Arlene Humphrey who also preceded him in death.
Carl proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and worked for Western Union as a service technician for thirty years.
He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge #78, Scottish Rite and Moila Shrine.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherril Ann Rose; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors: son, Rick Rose (Bonnie), Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Angela Edwinson (Shawn), Richie (Heather) and Amanda Rose (Steven Graham); great-grandchildren, Tyler and Haylee Rose and Wyatt Graham and Dylan and Ashley Edwinson; great-great-grandson, Zander Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
