Pooch was born on July 16, 1933 in Cameron, Missouri to John and Catharine (Muenker) Sigrist.

She attended St. Rita’s Academy and was a 1951 graduate of Cameron High School. Pooch worked for Dr. Kimes, MD, Cameron and Dr. H.P. Boughnou, MD of Kansas City, MO.
Pooch married Jack Hatcher on September 13, 1956.

After living in California, Jack and Pooch returned to Cameron. Pooch began work at State Farmers Mutual Fire and Tornado Insurance Company (later became Cameron Mutual Insurance Company). Pooch retired from Cameron Mutual in 1988 as VP Personnel/Corporate Secretary.

Pooch was a member of St. Munchin Catholic Church, Cameron, Federated Club and Beta Sigma Phi.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack.

She is survived by 2 sisters, George Ann Dove, Cameron and Mary Frances “Hatchie” Poland, St. Joseph; 2 nephews, Mike (Becky) Poland and Greg Poland, all of Cameron; niece, Kathy Poland (Bob) Diprete, Amity, OR; great-nephew, Adam Poland, Lincoln City, OR; 2 great-nieces, Aimee Leitterman, Cameron and Mary Diprete, Galesburg, IL; several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian of Burial: 11:00 AM, Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Munchin Catholic Church, Cameron. Rosary: 6:00 PM, Thursday evening with visitation following from 6:30-8:00 PM at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Burial: St. Munchin Catholic Cemetery, Cameron.
